Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Lead adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident analysis.
- Establish validation standards for AI-assisted outputs covering secure coding, peer review, automated testing, correctness, performance, and security.
- Apply software development lifecycle toolchain capabilities and automation to improve engineering outcomes at scale.
- Drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant AI-assisted engineering practices and controls.
- Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems with little to no oversight.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Preferred proficiency in Go or Python for automation, tooling, or platform service implementation.
- Preferred experience with MLOps frameworks and tools such as Kubeflow, MLflow, or similar AI/ML lifecycle management platforms.
- Preferred working knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, and scikit-learn for model integration and operationalization.
- Preferred exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures and platform portability strategies.
