Base Salary

$148k - $314k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the long-term architectural vision and technical roadmap for the Cordant platform.
  • Establish architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, governance, and reusable platform capabilities.
  • Lead architecture across distributed systems spanning industrial edge, enterprise environments, cloud platforms, on-premises deployments, customer-managed cloud, and SaaS.
  • Develop integration strategies connecting operational technology, enterprise IT, industrial devices, partner ecosystems, and business applications.
  • Guide cloud-native, event-driven, API-first, domain-driven, platform engineering, and developer-experience initiatives.
  • Drive architecture for the Cordant Data & Analytics Platform and enterprise Agentic AI capabilities.
  • Define architectural patterns for AI-agent orchestration, memory, contextual reasoning, tool integration, lifecycle management, security, observability, and governance.
  • Enable engineering teams through reusable AI platform services, SDKs, developer tooling, and architectural guidance.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and industry standards and evolve the long-term AI platform strategy.
  • Mentor architects and senior engineers, lead architecture reviews, and facilitate technical decisions across engineering teams.
  • Influence technology investment decisions and collaborate with engineering, product, UX, security, cloud infrastructure, and customer-facing organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience architecting large-scale enterprise software platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading architecture across multiple engineering teams and product domains.
  • Strong understanding of modern software architecture, distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and API-first platforms.
  • Experience developing enterprise architecture strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical and business leaders.
  • Preferred experience includes cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, platform engineering, enterprise data platforms, data lakehouses, streaming platforms, AI/ML platforms, Agentic AI, large language models, MCP, RAG, semantic search, vector databases, knowledge graphs, AI observability, Responsible AI governance, hybrid and multi-cloud architecture, edge computing, industrial IoT, enterprise integration, identity, and security architecture.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, energy, or other asset-intensive industries is beneficial but not required.
