Responsibilities
- Apply timely security fixes and patches addressing known CVEs to Linux kernels.
- Maintain and support existing Linux kernel functionality.
- Develop and implement new kernel features.
- Debug complex low-level kernel issues and ensure customer-system stability and reliability.
- Develop Python and Bash scripts to support CVE patch testing when needed.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C programming and exceptional debugging skills.
- Experience with Linux kernel core subsystems and a basic understanding of kernel ABI.
- Extensive experience with GDB and other debuggers.
- Proficiency in Git for development, patch management, and branch management.
- Experience with Python and shell scripting.
- Experience automating routine tasks with AI tools.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, decision-making, communication, and organizational abilities.
- English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher.
- Expertise in CPU performance and power analysis is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of CPU and cache architectures is preferred.
- Basic understanding of x86-64 Assembly (AT&T asm) is preferred.
- Prior exposure to Jenkins is preferred.
