Responsibilities
- Improve, innovate, and maintain tooling infrastructure and in-house editing tools.
- Design, architect, maintain, test, and implement tools at scale.
- Collaborate with tool users and cross-discipline teams to optimize workflows across games.
- Deliver high-quality, well-structured code and improve quality and performance across the tools landscape.
- Drive tool adoption with stakeholders across King’s game teams and incorporate user feedback.
- Share knowledge and best practices with peers and game teams.
- Coach and mentor junior developers in architecture, development patterns, and testing.
Requirements
- Excellent Python knowledge developing high-quality standalone and web applications.
- Strong C++ experience.
- Highly experienced with testing, automation, and continuous integration.
- Experience developing tools and a strong interest in tools development.
- Ability to develop on multiple platforms, including Windows and macOS.
- Frontend skills in JavaScript and TypeScript, including experience with web frontend frameworks.
- Strong communication, collaboration, code quality, and cross-discipline teamwork skills.
- Experience with performance-critical software is a bonus.
- Experience with GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes is a bonus.
- Experience with Unity Editor scripting, Unreal Editor tooling, or custom C++/Qt editor frameworks is a bonus.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Sentry or Grafana is a bonus.
- Experience facilitating workshops or leading internal technical presentations is a bonus.
