Senior Engineer I, Embedded Software Test

- Review requirements and design specifications for complete test and security coverage.
- Design, maintain, and execute functional, integration, regression, performance, and cybersecurity test cases and automation frameworks.
- Test integrated hardware, firmware, and software systems, including secure boot, authentication, encryption, access control, TLS, and certificates.
- Analyze test results, document reports and security findings, and track and validate functional and security defects.
- Support test planning, estimation, scheduling, release-readiness and go/no-go decisions, cybersecurity risk assessments, and requirements traceability.
- Collaborate with development teams on security-by-design, secure development lifecycle, certification, and compliance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of product or system testing experience in an R&D environment.
- At least 3 years of test automation experience using Python or similar scripting languages and tools such as Selenium or TestStand.
- Hands-on experience testing integrated hardware, firmware, and software systems.
- Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, performance, black-box, vulnerability, penetration, secure communication, authentication, and authorization testing.
- Experience with test management, defect tracking, debugging, root cause analysis, security defect mitigation validation, release coordination, and Agile global-team environments.
- Preferred qualifications include National Instruments TestStand, Modbus/TCP, CAN, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, Wireshark, Nessus, OpenVAS, Burp Suite, IIoT and edge systems, ISTQB or security certifications, and CI/CD security-testing integration.
