Base Salary
$131k - $169k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with different areas within Karbon to embed security from the start of feature design and development.
- Balance security needs with delivery timelines and communicate risks to non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and approaches in security, particularly those related to AI.
- Identify and assess security risks introduced by AI tools and assist with their integration.
- Apply AI-assisted tooling to enhance security work across various areas.
- Work flexibly across multiple security domains, from corporate IT security to cloud systems.
- Build relationships and trust across the organization to enhance security posture.
- Take ownership of your work and ensure customer data security.
- Contribute to security metrics to track progress and inform the security roadmap.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a security or development role.
- Experience collaborating with teams to review designs and implement security practices.
- Ability to triage issues and assist teams in remedying security vulnerabilities.
- Experience with external penetration testing and validating findings.
- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of web applications and APIs.
- Familiarity with configuring and tuning SAST, SCA, and DAST tooling.
- Experience with build/deployment pipelines incorporating security tooling.
- Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Proficiency in languages/frameworks such as .NET/C#, JavaScript, and Python.
- Experience with at least one cloud platform, preferably Azure.
- Working knowledge of PowerShell or Bash and Python.
- Familiarity with AI development tools like GitHub Co-Pilot.
- Certifications in security or cloud development are a plus.
