Base Salary
$84k - $141k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain prototype applications and proofs of concept using JavaScript, TypeScript, and ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.
- Design and implement user experiences for web applications, digital cartographic visualizations, and interactive map-based workflows.
- Prototype novel web-based maps, scenes, and spatial data visualizations.
- Build stand-alone web applications and reusable UI components with modern web frameworks.
- Collaborate with core development and SDK teams during release development sprints and provide feedback on APIs, beta capabilities, tools, workflows, documentation, and developer experience.
- Apply WebGL and browser-based real-time visualization capabilities to advanced 2D, 3D, and multidimensional spatial experiences.
- Stay current with JavaScript, TypeScript, complementary programming languages, coding tools, development practices, and user interface design techniques.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience developing web applications with JavaScript.
- Experience with modern web application frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Svelte, or similar technologies.
- Experience with code management systems and CI/CD.
- Foundational understanding of digital cartography, data visualization, or geospatial application development.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25–50%.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
- TypeScript experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS Experience Builder, or other Esri web technologies is preferred.
- Experience with WebGL, 3D visualization, or browser-based real-time rendering technologies is preferred.
- A master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field is preferred.
