Responsibilities
- Design, build, implement, and maintain Java software applications and backend services.
- Develop REST APIs, integrate services, and support event-based and microservices architectures.
- Work with SQL databases, database models, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to all stages of software delivery, including analysis, development, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate within a cross-functional Agile Scrum team and distributed multicultural engineering organization.
- Create high-performance, well-tested code and low-level design documentation.
- Support cloud- and Docker-based application deployment and continuous integration workflows.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java 17, Spring or Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, JUnit, Oracle or SQL Server, PL/SQL, Linux, and shell scripting.
- Experience with modern backend frameworks, REST API development, event-based systems, and microservices architectures.
- Solid experience with SQL databases, database modeling, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Maven, Git, Hudson, Jenkins, or TeamCity, plus cloud- and Docker-based deployment.
- Knowledge of design patterns, software principles, database models, SQL tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban and in distributed multicultural teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver well-tested, documented code to tight schedules.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Preferred: familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenShift, containerization, AI-driven coding tools, AI/ML integrations, event-based frameworks, and low-level design documents.
