Responsibilities
- Develop new features for Google Messages for Web, the desktop companion web application for Google Messages.
- Integrate web features with backend systems and interface with the Google Messages Android application.
- Collaborate with UX designers and product managers to refine feature requirements.
- Work with software engineers to determine appropriate system architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- At least 2 years of Android application development experience.
- Preferred experience with Kotlin, Android application development, and web development.
- Preferred experience debugging Android applications, including network traffic.
- Preferred experience with web front-end development and Angular.
- Preferred experience debugging web applications and working with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and style sheets.
- Familiarity with web standards, browsers, front-end best practices, Java, and back-end services.
