Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain high-quality full-stack frontend and backend features
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver scalable customer-facing functionality
- Translate complex requirements into efficient, maintainable, reliable, performant, and secure code
- Develop frontend features using technologies such as React and Ember and backend services using C#, Web APIs, and microservices
- Write unit and integration tests, work with QA to validate features, and monitor production performance
- Participate in code reviews, share expertise, contribute to documentation, and bring forward improvements and emerging technologies
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- A.B. or B.S. in Computer Science or a similar engineering program
- Strong hands-on experience with full-stack web applications, including JavaScript, TypeScript, React or another frontend framework, CSS, and HTML
- Solid backend object-oriented development experience, such as C# or a similar language, and Web API development
- Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- English proficiency and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
- Bonus: familiarity with cloud technologies, Kafka, microservices, and automated testing of web and backend services
