Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, monitor, and support software platforms or applications.
- Ensure application quality, security, privacy, reliability, availability, maintainability, performance, compatibility, and integration.
- Collaborate with teammates and Product Owners to refine backlogs, define acceptance criteria, estimate work, identify dependencies, and inform prioritization.
- Participate in stand-ups, backlog refinement, planning, reviews, retrospectives, pair programming, peer mentoring, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs, security risks, performance bottlenecks, and other application issues.
- Improve software development lifecycle practices, automation, support playbooks, and the technical foundation of solutions.
- Explore new technologies and assist with proof-of-concept implementations.
- Build subject matter expertise and collaborate with cross-functional teams and users to identify requirements and deliver results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 2–4 years of professional experience with relevant tools, systems, and procedures.
- Exposure to data services in a cloud computing platform.
- Experience coding in Python, Scala, SQL, or PowerShell; proficiency in a modern programming or scripting language is strongly preferred.
- Ability to learn new software development tools and technologies quickly, break down data issues, and resolve them.
- Preferred experience with Azure Logic Apps and Function Apps.
- Knowledge of database systems, particularly SQL.
- Preferred exposure to wholesale or retail solutions, data catalogs, business glossaries, data governance, and metadata management.
- Strong technical, communication, interpersonal, project management, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a team and work with users and cross-functional teams.
