Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and debug high-performance C/C++ networking software for switching and fabric platforms.
- Implement Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, including forwarding behavior and control-plane protocols.
- Integrate switch SDK functionality with ASICs and internal platform software.
- Design and customize SONiC-based control-plane and data-plane solutions.
- Support in-service software upgrades and architectures focused on high availability and minimal customer impact.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex networking initiatives.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in C/C++ and experience building or debugging performance-sensitive systems software or networking applications.
- Deep knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols, including Ethernet, VLANs, BGP, and ECMP.
- Practical experience with switch SDKs or Linux networking internals, including kernel concepts, drivers, or packet processing.
- Understanding of non-disruptive upgrade technologies and highly available system architecture.
- Ability to independently solve complex problems, influence technical direction across teams, and mentor engineers.
