Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test code; verify code changes and bug fixes.
- Analyze test results and report software quality and stability status.
- Test and certify software, SDKs, and AI models.
- Troubleshoot and triage customer issues and analyze user feedback.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers on testing, documentation, and release of geospatial AI tools, APIs, and pretrained models.
- Develop pretrained geospatial AI models for imagery, 3D datasets, and text.
- Create samples, tutorials, documentation, blog posts, and presentations, and teach technical tasks.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of industry experience in software development or QA, preferably in product-based or geospatial consulting companies.
- Hands-on experience with QA processes, test plans, test automation, and product certification.
- Proficiency in Python, Jupyter notebooks, GIS libraries such as GDAL, Rasterio, or ArcPy, and/or testing frameworks such as Pytest.
- Familiarity with GIS concepts, spatial data, and geospatial workflows.
- Basic understanding of machine learning and deep learning workflows.
- Technical writing experience, including samples, blog posts, and product documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
- Existing work authorization for India.
- Preferred: master’s degree in a related field, strong software QA knowledge, Agile/Scrum experience, ArcGIS or open-source GIS experience, and experience with remote sensing, satellite imagery, and multispectral image analysis.
