Responsibilities
- Design, implement, enhance, and execute test cases, test plans, and test tools in collaboration with software design and hardware validation teams.
- Develop testing and automation infrastructure and utilities for safety-critical automotive software.
- Test and validate applications, middleware, drivers, firmware, and integrated hardware/software systems.
- Process test results, identify issues, and document and present validation findings.
- Support adherence to functional safety and best development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software, or a related field.
- Three years of experience for the mid-level position or seven years for the senior-level position.
- At least two years of Python programming experience.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle fundamentals, including architecture, implementation, and testing.
- Experience integrating and testing open-source middleware, libraries, and drivers.
- Experience building test infrastructure and test utilities.
- Experience validating software or hardware products, including applications, middleware, drivers, and firmware.
- Exposure to system-level validation involving software and hardware products.
- Experience with automation, continuous integration, and DevOps tools such as Jenkins.
- Automotive validation environment and functional safety experience are preferred.
- Experience with SQL databases, C/C++, JIRA, Confluence, Perforce or Git, JSON, XML, IXIA, and TestRail is preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, attention to detail, self-motivation, and teamwork skills.
