Responsibilities
- Work directly with end users and stakeholders to identify challenges and deliver software solutions
- Own features from prototyping through deployment, including systems integration and performance validation
- Collaborate across engineering, product, design, and operations teams to build scalable systems and complete complex projects
- Monitor and improve reliability and performance through instrumentation, metrics analysis, issue diagnosis, and fixes
- Balance immediate operational needs with long-term maintainability
- Travel roughly 25% to deploy, field-test, and support software systems and gather user feedback
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Go, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar languages
- Ability to take ownership of software development and deployment for a specific military customer
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong communication skills and interest in leading customer-facing engineering interactions
- Active U.S. secret security clearance required; top secret preferred
- Experience in defense, aerospace, or other complex operational domains is desired
- Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, or military sustainment challenges is desired
- Experience deploying production software and managing cloud and edge infrastructure is desired
- Exposure to data engineering, analytics, or machine learning in operational contexts is desired
