Base Salary
$120k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write performance-focused edge application software to acquire, process, and stream radiograph data.
- Write appliance firmware to maintain tight control loops for scanner peripherals.
- Ship production-critical Linux-based applications.
- Architect configurable and customizable data-acquisition solutions.
- Integrate new hardware platforms using vendor SDKs and manuals to create performant driver integrations.
- Collaborate with product, research, hardware, and software development teams to define requirements and architect solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and build testing infrastructure while maintaining high software quality.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience writing low-level, high-performance software in Python and C.
- Experience shipping applications with embedded Linux, including configuring udev, systemd, and kernel schedulers.
- At least 3 years of startup experience.
- Hands-on experience integrating hardware platforms through vendor SDKs and manuals.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including use of debuggers and profilers and evaluation of technology trade-offs.
- Proficiency with Python concurrency models including asyncio, threading, and multiprocessing.
- Ability to design, integrate, and test systems using component and product datasheets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Preferred experience with NVIDIA CUDA or Jetson for hardware-accelerated image-processing edge solutions.
- Preferred experience with classical computer vision and machine-learning computer-vision algorithms.
- Preferred experience shipping user-facing React.js interfaces.
