Responsibilities

  • Design and build secure enterprise applications with React, TypeScript, Python, and API services.
  • Build agentic workflows and Model Context Protocol integrations connecting AI applications to enterprise data and tools.
  • Implement structured outputs, workflow state management, human approval steps, and error recovery.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and audit logging.
  • Set up AI evaluation, guardrails, tracing, and monitoring for quality, safety, performance, and cost.
  • Translate requirements into scalable solutions with domain experts and product managers.
  • Create reusable, configuration-driven components for use by other teams.
  • Own production code, including testing and documentation.
  • Mentor engineers and guide technical direction across teams.
  • Conduct technical interviews through Nortal's Technical Interviewer Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • At least five years of software development experience, including at least five years with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.
  • Strong skills in React, API development, application architecture, automated testing, and CI/CD.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-assisted applications, agentic workflows, or tool-calling solutions.
  • Experience with MCP, structured outputs, context management, or comparable frameworks.
  • Experience with authentication, authorization, RBAC, and secure coding practices.
  • Full lifecycle experience from requirements and architecture through deployment and production support.
  • Advanced English proficiency and effective communication skills for working with US clients.
  • Preferred experience includes Databricks, Unity Catalog, data lakes, GitLab CI/CD, policy-as-code, infrastructure-as-code, data marketplaces, governance platforms, internal developer platforms, or privacy, security, and AI governance controls in regulated environments.
