Base Salary
$132k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement real-time applications on application processors and microcontrollers using C/C++.
- Develop drivers for embedded communication protocols including SPI, I2C, and UART.
- Build applications that interact with custom hardware on QNX and embedded Linux.
- Create and execute test plans, participate in requirements and design documentation, and conduct peer design and code reviews.
- Debug complex product-development issues and improve software processes.
- Collaborate with EE, DSP, System Test, and SW QA teams, including support for new product designs and schematic reviews.
- Use lab equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes for debugging.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience developing C/C++ code in embedded systems environments.
- Familiarity with QNX, embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, or Zephyr.
- Experience developing drivers for SPI, I2C, UART, or similar embedded communication protocols.
- Experience developing applications that interact with custom hardware on QNX and embedded Linux.
- Experience working cross-functionally with electrical engineering, DSP, system test, and software QA teams.
- Experience with ARM and Tensilica architectures.
- Strong understanding of operating-system and RTOS fundamentals.
- Ability and interest to work in lab settings with logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Preferred: familiarity with network programming, AUTOSAR middleware, general automotive software development, or hobby embedded-systems projects.
