Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD, testing integration, deployment automation, and release-engineering architecture.
  • Design scalable delivery pipelines supporting multiple teams, applications, environments, and release schedules.
  • Establish standards for source control, branching, merging, metadata management, packaging, deployment, rollback, and release traceability.
  • Integrate automated testing, code quality, security validation, approval controls, and other quality gates into delivery pipelines.
  • Diagnose and remediate complex pipeline failures, deployment conflicts, environment inconsistencies, test failures, and release bottlenecks.
  • Define environment-management, refresh, configuration, access, readiness, and production-deployment safeguards.
  • Monitor pipeline health and use engineering metrics to improve deployment frequency, lead time, failure rate, recovery time, and productivity.
  • Provide architecture guidance for complex deployments, data changes, integrations, platform upgrades, and multi-team release coordination.
  • Partner with platform, security, engineering, operations, testing, architecture, and delivery teams to address shared risks and dependencies.
  • Document reusable pipeline patterns, standards, troubleshooting guidance, and operational procedures.
  • Coach Technical Leads and developers on DevOps, testing, source-control, and release-engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Eight or more years of enterprise technology experience, including substantial Salesforce engineering and DevOps experience.
  • Six or more years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, application development, platform engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce metadata, development lifecycle, environment management, testing, deployment, and release practices.
  • Experience with source control, branching strategies, build automation, quality gates, and release traceability.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across pipelines, deployments, test automation, environments, and platform dependencies.
  • Experience supporting multiple delivery teams in complex enterprise environments.
  • Understanding of security, access control, auditability, compliance, application architecture, system design, cloud infrastructure, reliability, observability, and production support.
  • Preferred qualifications include Salesforce architect-level, development, or DevOps certifications; enterprise Salesforce release-management platform experience; DevSecOps and automated security-validation experience; engineering metrics experience; and large-scale, multi-org, or globally distributed Salesforce delivery experience.
  • Master’s degree and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AZ-900, RHCSA, or equivalent certification are preferred.
  • Ability to lead complex engineering work independently, influence technical direction, guide design decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
