Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture and delivery of major backend platform capabilities.
- Define next-generation architectures for distributed Golang microservices and high-throughput data pipelines.
- Write design proposals and technical documents for engineering and product leadership.
- Drive improvements to platform reliability, security posture, and engineering quality.
- Lead design and implementation of production-grade Golang microservices.
- Architect inter-service communication with a focus on fault tolerance.
- Drive SLO/SLA definition and capacity planning across microservices.
- Architect and deliver large-scale data engineering pipelines.
- Own adoption and integration of AWS data pipeline services.
- Define pipeline reliability standards and observability practices.
- Drive SaaS-specific platform capabilities and enforce AWS networking best practices.
- Lead platform infrastructure-as-code practices and CI/CD pipeline standards.
- Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Partner with product management to align backend investments with business priorities.
- Lead escalations and critical production incidents.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong track record of technical leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience designing and operating enterprise-grade SaaS/PaaS products.
- Expert proficiency in Golang and experience building production-grade gRPC-based microservices.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and API design.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale data pipelines.
- Expert knowledge of AWS data pipeline services.
- Deep expertise with AWS as a primary cloud platform.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS networking and security.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools.
