Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality and delivery for complex systems, including test artifacts, automation, governance, environments, and quality gates.
- Lead automation-first validation across API, UI, data, integration, and message flows.
- Define QE strategy, test architecture, test data, entry and exit criteria, and release readiness for the pod.
- Build and extend reusable automation frameworks, libraries, and test utilities.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and optimize execution through parallelization and environment improvements.
- Coordinate integrated testing, shared dependencies, release dry runs, change windows, and go/no-go recommendations.
- Lead defect triage and root-cause analysis using logs, traces, and test telemetry.
- Establish dashboards and reporting for coverage, pass rates, flakiness, defect leakage, and release readiness.
- Mentor QE engineers and lead quality discussions across delivery ceremonies.
- Implement AI solutions and tools to improve QE workflows, test case creation, and automation script generation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of relevant Quality Engineering or SDET experience with strong hands-on automation delivery.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, testing, CI/CD, and automation best practices.
- Expertise with Rest Assured, Selenium, Postman, BDD, Java, Spring Boot, SQL, GitHub, Azure, Jira, and X-Ray.
- Strong expertise with AI tools and models for automating test case creation and automation script generation.
- Experience designing API/contract tests, component tests, UI automation, reusable abstractions, and scalable test architectures.
- Experience with defect triage, root-cause analysis, quality metrics, service virtualization, contract testing, and data-driven testing.
- Banking domain experience is highly preferred.
- Experience implementing AI tools in Quality Engineering is highly preferred.
