Responsibilities
- Break larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in phases, and collaborate to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with product management, design, analytics, risk, and engineering teams on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Build robust collections platform solutions for managing delinquent loans and recovery strategies.
- Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues, and support system availability, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call efforts.
- Participate in team growth and development activities, including the interview process.
Requirements
- At least 2.5 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to design solutions spanning multiple software components and write clear, tested, extensible code.
- Ability to navigate large codebases, debug code, and provide feedback through code reviews.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
