Responsibilities
- Influence the team roadmap and take ownership of career objectives.
- Deliver new features collaboratively and iterate based on results and feedback.
- Drive projects from ideation and requirements gathering through customer delivery and production operations.
- Design, build, operate, and maintain critical distributed systems with ownership of reliability, performance, and availability.
- Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of running services.
- Contribute to open-source projects beyond the immediate team scope.
- Mentor teammates, participate in design discussions, and collaborate in a remote environment.
Requirements
- Solid experience with at least one programming language; the team uses Go, while Python, Java, C++, Rust, or similar experience is transferable.
- Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering and ideation through shipping to customers in a self-directed way.
- Experience developing software that runs in the cloud or experience with systems engineering.
- Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software.
- Customer focus, pragmatic problem solving, strong communication, collaboration, and an independent attitude.
