Responsibilities

Design, build, support, and maintain infrastructure services primarily using AWS, Kubernetes, Linkerd, Docker, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
Create cloud-platform automation and establish infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and developer-facing tooling.
Develop monitoring and alerting for error conditions and performance and participate in on-call infrastructure support.
Own database infrastructure provisioning and patching.
Provide infrastructure support to engineering teams and develop an Infrastructure-as-a-Service roadmap.
Manage security hygiene including dependency vulnerability remediation, KMS secrets management, IAM/IRSA governance, and SOC 2 compliance evidence.

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
At least 5 years of hands-on infrastructure engineering experience.
At least 5 years of public cloud experience with AWS.
At least 2 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
At least 2 years of experience with container technologies such as Docker, Podman, or LXC.
Experience with highly available, scalable SaaS or consumer technologies and secure services using containers and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Preferred: strong knowledge of Linkerd and Terraform, 5+ years with Go, Python, or a similar high-level language, and 5+ years with Bash or equivalent shell scripting.
Preferred: experience with KVM, Hyper-V, VMware, AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, Helm, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, AWS Keyspaces, Astra DB, Datadog, ELK, OpenTelemetry, and PagerDuty.
