Responsibilities

  • Integrate individual components into functioning overall systems.
  • Prepare test systems in coordination with software developers for release testing.
  • Develop test concepts and specifications, automate tests, plan test facilities, and execute extensive system tests of software.
  • Perform error analysis, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and commissioning with customers remotely and on site.
  • Provide customer training for maintenance and commissioning.
  • Support projects in cooperation with System Engineers and Developers.
  • Travel internationally for up to 20% of working time.

Requirements

  • Degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering.
  • More than five years of experience with distributed embedded systems using IP communication.
  • Experience implementing software tests on embedded systems and with test automation.
  • Experience planning and executing complex test tasks.
  • Proficiency with Linux and networking, including DHCP, DNS, VLAN, and routing.
  • Knowledge of virtualization using Docker, Vagrant, or VirtualBox is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of scripting with Python or Shell is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of IT security, cryptography, and troubleshooting is advantageous.
  • Professional proficiency in English, Italian, and German.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, organized, autonomous, proactive, and customer-focused working style.
  • Legal authorization to work in the EU.
