Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs and define process workflows, data requirements, and implementation specifications.
- Develop technical specifications, high-level and detailed designs, testing strategies, and implementation plans.
- Manage the end-to-end systems development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, UAT, implementation, and maintenance.
- Build scalable and reliable software solutions and increase automation while modernizing and consolidating software stacks.
- Explore and apply emerging technologies as needed by projects.
- Develop solutions involving data modeling, data curation, data quality, warehousing, and analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant software development experience, including data structures, algorithms, software design, core programming concepts, and continuous delivery and deployment.
- Strong programming experience in at least one compiled language, such as Java or C++.
- Full-stack experience with industry-standard frameworks and tools, including React, Spring Boot, Dropwizard, Maven, and web service development.
- Knowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases, including database design.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, stakeholder engagement, and global-team collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience managing small to mid-size teams.
- Preferred: financial-services experience delivering software to front-office, Controllers, Finance, or Accounting users.
- Preferred: experience delivering solutions on cloud-based, large-scale data analytics platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
- Preferred: experience with vendor or in-house data catalog platforms such as Unity Catalog, Open Catalog, or Apache Polaris.
