Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop APIs, external system integrations, and enterprise application services.
- Build backend components with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, SQL databases, and ORM frameworks.
- Troubleshoot complex application issues, perform root-cause analysis and debugging, and provide production support.
- Collaborate with Angular teams on API integration and end-to-end application delivery.
- Create and maintain API specifications, system designs, configurations, and deployment documentation.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
- Analyze technical documentation and implementation requirements for APIs, SDKs, and third-party integrations.
- Follow enterprise coding standards, security policies, development processes, code reviews, unit testing, and clean-code practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field with 7+ years of hands-on experience, or a master’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of technical experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, APIs, microservices, Hibernate/JPA, and SQL.
- Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server databases.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Git, and CI/CD tools.
- Preferred familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.
- Preferred understanding of JUnit, Jasmine, or Karma.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, XML, SQL, and scripting tools.
- Preferred hands-on familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Git and Jenkins.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to support customer meetings that may occur outside normal business hours due to different time zones.
