Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize distributed-system components for scalability, resiliency, and operability.
- Build deployment orchestration, developer-platform capabilities, and operational automation for large-scale cloud infrastructure.
- Develop load and performance tests and use data-plane and distributed-state platforms for high-volume retrieval, storage, and processing.
- Implement redundancy, replication, automatic failover, retries, circuit breakers, timeouts, and recovery-oriented mechanisms.
- Detect and mitigate operational issues using tests, alarms, dashboards, and telemetry.
- Author runbooks, participate in incident response and root-cause analyses, and review peer implementations for scalability compliance.
- Implement replication and synchronization, infrastructure-as-code automation, troubleshooting and maintenance workflows, and advanced security controls.
- Ensure changes, compliance activities, and technical documentation meet required standards.
Requirements
- Senior-level software engineering experience focused on distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, deployment orchestration, or reliability engineering is required by the role scope.
- Experience designing for scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, operability, and high-volume distributed processing is required.
- Experience with replication, synchronization, performance testing, operational automation, infrastructure as code, incident response, and root-cause analysis is relevant to the position.
- Ability to implement security controls involving encryption, access management, and remediation, while following compliance and documentation standards, is required.
