Responsibilities
- Own the development and implementation of complex, high-impact features and microservices for the Metadata Catalog platform.
- Collaborate with technical leaders and architects to design modular, scalable, and resilient distributed components.
- Build and optimize low-latency applications that manage large-scale graph relationships and data-lineage queries.
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and performance tests and promote developer-owned quality.
- Monitor production service health, debug complex distributed issues, participate in on-call rotations, and lead post-incident reviews.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 6 years of related experience, or a master's degree with 3 years of related experience.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Go, Java, or C++ and experience designing, developing, and debugging production-grade services.
- Experience building and operating cloud-native microservices with AWS, Azure, or GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed-systems architecture, and RESTful or gRPC API design.
- Experience delivering software with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines in Agile environments.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks and ensure high availability in distributed environments.
- Preferred experience with Neo4j, AWS Neptune, Apache AGE, Cypher, Gremlin, GraphQL, metadata catalogs, data governance frameworks, schema registries, knowledge-graph platforms, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Splunk.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across distributed global engineering teams.
