Responsibilities
- Lead complex software initiatives across selected commodities technology domains.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support applications, system components, tools, utilities, models, simulations, and analytics.
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain business and technical analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation lifecycle activities.
- Monitor systems, improve operational efficiency, mitigate risk, maximize resource utilization, and reduce costs.
- Coordinate implementation activities across functions, departments, technical teams, and outside vendors.
- Resolve technically challenging coding, testing, and escalated platform issues.
- Lead risk management and compliance initiatives for supported areas.
- Mentor less experienced software engineers and collaborate with professionals at all levels.
- Partner effectively with production support and platform engineering teams.
- Identify, arrange, or deliver training for client groups.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 5+ years of Angular development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in capital markets business and processes.
- Experience deploying and supporting applications with web server technologies such as Apache Tomcat, IIS, or NGINX is desired.
- Experience with automated UI testing and performance testing using tools such as Selenium and browser developer tools is desired.
- Knowledge of fixed income products, capital markets trading workflows, trade lifecycle processes, and end-of-day valuation activities is desired.
- Experience building and supporting real-time user interfaces with streaming or event-driven technologies is desired.
- Experience with desktop interoperability and container frameworks such as OpenFin, Glue42, or Finsemble is desired.
