Responsibilities
- Lead complex frontend technology initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Design, build, test, debug, document, and support secure, accessible, responsive, high-performing web applications.
- Define frontend architecture standards, reusable components, design systems, and engineering practices.
- Design and implement micro frontends, including application integration, communication, event-driven interactions, and shared state.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services, including authentication and authorization.
- Improve frontend performance, reliability, and observability through measurement, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Review code and architecture, address technical debt, and mentor engineers through hands-on guidance and peer coaching.
- Partner with Product, UX, Security, Platform Engineering, Architecture, and other engineering teams on roadmaps, modernization, and implementation decisions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 4 years of experience developing enterprise-grade frontend applications.
- At least 4 years of experience with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and modern frontend frameworks.
- At least 3 years of experience designing and implementing micro frontend architecture, including Module Federation or Web Components.
- At least 3 years of experience with component-based architecture and reusable UI libraries.
- At least 3 years of experience with state management frameworks such as Redux, Zustand, or similar solutions.
- At least 3 years of experience developing APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
- At least 2 years of experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with single-spa, Nx, enterprise design systems, shared component libraries, frontend observability, browser internals, scalability and performance optimization, authentication and authorization, cloud platforms, Node.js, server-side rendering, legacy modernization, AI-assisted development tools, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, Git, Agile methodologies, and modern software engineering practices.
