Responsibilities
- Own software features from creation and testing through iteration and delivery.
- Build and modify backend functionality using Elixir and Phoenix and interact with React-based frontend applications.
- Collaborate across the company to understand customer and vendor pain points, develop solutions, prototype, iterate, and launch features.
- Participate across the development lifecycle, including ideation, design, delivery, maintenance, and operations.
- Solve technical and supply chain challenges for Stord’s third-party logistics platform.
- Incorporate information security commitments and requirements into information technology processes and support enforcement of related policies and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with MVC frameworks and willingness to learn Elixir and Phoenix.
- Experience with React or React Native.
- Ability to turn wireframes into production-level features.
- Ability to write clean, reliable, and maintainable code.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and software development skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Appreciation for test-driven and code-review cultures.
- Previous startup experience, Elixir or functional programming experience, and logistics or supply chain experience are preferred.
