Responsibilities
- Design, configure, implement, and maintain infrastructure and application environments across their full lifecycle.
- Build and maintain automated build, installation, and deployment processes and scripts.
- Manage complex application deployments in load-balanced, service-oriented environments.
- Troubleshoot, test, debug, analyze, document, and resolve environment and deployment issues.
- Research business and infrastructure requirements and recommend effective technology architecture solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, business leaders, technology teams, external partners, and vendors.
- Develop technical strategies that improve service levels, customer experience, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor systems and operational availability while maintaining service-level, security, quality, recovery, and capacity standards.
- Lead or contribute to project delivery, reviews, technical negotiations, and knowledge-transfer activities.
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree or technical certificate is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience is required.
- Primary subject matter expertise across multiple areas of operational support and solutions-consulting experience is required.
- Experience working with Linux-based infrastructure is required.
- Experience configuring and managing big data technologies and databases, including Hadoop, HDFS, HBase, Hive, Zookeeper, or Kafka, is required.
- Experience deploying, managing, and operating in a cloud environment such as Azure is required.
- Understanding of DevOps concepts, Agile principles, monitoring, logging, infrastructure, services, and application operations is required.
- Understanding of Python, Java, or another modern programming language and the ability to code for automation is required.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal skills are required.
- The ability to work independently, support knowledge transfer, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders is required.
