Base Salary
$147k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and analyze low-level computer systems interacting with the Linux kernel and hardware.
- Build and maintain a performant, reliable, and efficient Google Cloud node management agent.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders.
- Review code and provide feedback on style, correctness, testability, and efficiency.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues affecting hardware, networks, services, and operations.
- Collaborate with cluster management, ML, hardware platform, SRE, and Google Cloud teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- At least 2 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- Experience with low-level systems programming languages such as C++ or C.
- Experience working on the Linux kernel.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies, computer architecture, and operating systems.
Benefits
- US base salary of $147000-$210000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
