Responsibilities
- Lead product engineering teams in threat modeling, secure design reviews, vulnerability assessments, and security testing.
- Integrate security requirements and controls into the product development lifecycle.
- Oversee security risk assessments and mitigation plans for new and existing products.
- Lead product security policies, standards, and best practices aligned with industry and regulatory requirements.
- Introduce and use an Application Security Posture Management platform to assess and prioritize application, service, and pipeline risks.
- Monitor application security incidents and coordinate incident response and remediation.
- Maintain documentation covering product security architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, security architecture, application security, cyber defense, IT operations, risk, and governance teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 8+ years of extensive and progressive experience in application security focused on secure software development practices and techniques.
- Strong understanding of web application vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies, including OWASP Top 10.
- Proficiency in web application programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CEH, or similar are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with cloud security, containerization, and DevSecOps practices is a plus.
- Experience developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, managing risk in regulated environments, understanding cybersecurity regulations and laws, and responding to cyber incidents is a bonus.
