Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate end-to-end features from accessible React and TypeScript interfaces through Elixir/Phoenix services, pipelines, and data stores.
  • Build AI-powered product features including streaming responses, AI-driven personalization, and production guardrails for non-deterministic behavior.
  • Develop and maintain the React dashboard, performance-critical JavaScript SDK, real-time backend services, WebSocket infrastructure, and analytics pipelines.
  • Optimize frontend bundle size, rendering efficiency, and Core Web Vitals alongside backend throughput, correctness, and reliability.
  • Translate product specifications and design mockups into production features using client-side state management and server-side OTP, queue, and write-buffer patterns.
  • Contribute to agentic development infrastructure, including AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, DESIGN.md, slash commands, and architectural rules.
  • Review code for architectural consistency, maintainability, and adherence to system boundaries across React and Elixir/OTP codebases.
  • Participate in a spec-driven development process and contribute to technical leadership and developer experience improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience building and shipping production software, with hands-on frontend and backend experience.
  • Production experience with React and TypeScript, including component design, hooks, rendering behavior, and state management with React Query, Redux, or Redux-Saga.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and professional experience building backend services in Elixir, Ruby, Python, Go, or a similar high-level language.
  • Experience working with databases, queues, or real-time systems.
  • Experience building or integrating LLM-powered features such as streaming responses or AI-driven personalization, or designing for non-deterministic behavior.
  • Regular use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor, with the ability to critically review and challenge generated output.
  • Strong product judgment, user-experience awareness, system-correctness focus, self-management, and continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Preferred experience includes Elixir, Phoenix, OTP, reliable real-time systems at scale, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ClickHouse, Broadway, MUI, monorepo tooling, Chrome Extensions, SDKs, embeddable scripts, agentic infrastructure, cloud cost optimization, technical leadership, open-source contributions, and unit, integration, or end-to-end testing.
