Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage on-premises servers, storage, virtualization, and networking infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for on-premises and cloud-based applications.
- Develop infrastructure provisioning tools, scripts, reusable modules, and templates for automated deployment and configuration.
- Collaborate with development, operations, QA, and other stakeholders to automate processes and improve system reliability.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Ensure infrastructure and deployment practices comply with security policies and best practices.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and configurations.
Requirements
- Proven DevOps experience with a strong focus on on-premises infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including firewalls, routing, VPNs, and DNS.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and basic cloud services.
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios monitoring tools.
- Experience developing infrastructure provisioning tools and automation scripts.
- Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Ability to create reusable infrastructure modules and templates.
- Preferred certifications include CCNA or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Familiarity with Agile and SAFe methodologies is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, collaborative, and independent-working skills.
