Base Salary
$131k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build weather platforms combining asset tracking, interactive maps, time-series views, and operational dashboards.
- Develop workflows for asset and route management, weather-exposure assessment, alert configuration, and alert response.
- Present complex, changing data—including forecast uncertainty, freshness, and alert severity—in clear and actionable interfaces.
- Use Claude Code and Codex to accelerate development, debugging, and testing while maintaining code quality.
- Ship and operate production frontends, including deployment pipelines, error monitoring, performance improvements, and fixes.
- Build reusable components and test critical workflows, accessibility, browser compatibility, and failure states.
- Collaborate with product, design, scientists, and API engineers to turn ambiguous requirements into shippable increments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of production software development experience with a strong front-end background.
- Strong TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS skills, with knowledge of browser behavior, state management, API integration, and performance.
- Experience building workflow-rich applications involving asset management, monitoring, configurable alerts, or operational decision support.
- Fluency with frontier AI models and agentic coding tools, including the ability to explain shipped work and validation practices.
- Experience taking frontends into production and supporting them through CI/CD, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong UX judgment for data-rich interfaces involving maps, tables, charts, and detail views.
- Experience with automated front-end testing and hands-on QA.
- Preferred experience in weather, geospatial, aviation, or utility industries.
- Preferred experience with MapLibre, Mapbox, deck.gl, live asset tracking, geofencing, route visualization, alert management, forecast data, uncertainty, geographic coordinates, and large spatial or time-series datasets.
- Preferred QA or test automation experience with Playwright or Cypress and a portfolio of deployed products built with AI-assisted workflows.

- Base salary range of $130,500–$171,000 USD, with eligibility for commissions and annual equity awards.
