Base Salary
$168k - $322k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define, build, and manage an enterprise software engineering platform for storage infrastructure and services.
- Design and expand REST APIs for on-demand storage management used by thousands of engineers.
- Build provisioning, metrics, monitoring, and workflow-management software for storage services.
- Develop tooling to automate deployment, operational monitoring, alerting, and self-service resource consumption.
- Document procedures, evaluate technologies, and coordinate system orders, installations, and deployments.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 8+ years of relevant experience, an MS with 5+ years, or a PhD with 3 years.
- Extensive experience building and owning large-scale, multithreaded, distributed backend systems.
- Experience designing and building REST APIs in Python or Go.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with telemetry and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, AlertManager, and Kibana.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and guide or influence others in a dynamic matrix environment.
- Open-source software experience, including building, debugging, patching, and contributing code, is preferred.
- Linux storage troubleshooting experience is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise NAS solutions, distributed filesystems, and S3 storage is preferred.
- Experience with HPC cluster management tools such as Slurm, PBS, or LSF is preferred.
