Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for cloud infrastructure components, databases, applications, tools, networks, and operating systems.
- Design and implement ML-based spike detection for provisioning failures and automated systems for testing, simulation, and incident reproduction.
- Expand Kafka integrations to support near-real-time hardware repair actions and 1-Day SLO objectives.
- Develop an NLP- and ML-powered automated ticket-routing framework.
- Define and evolve software engineering standards and practices with a focus on AI-driven development.
- Collaborate across teams and with customers on integrations, technical discussions, and problem-solving.
- Work independently in ambiguous situations and provide direction and mentoring to junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience, or a qualifying bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, master's degree with 2 years of experience, or doctorate in a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of distributed systems, including scalable, secure, and highly available software systems.
- At least 2 years of professional experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud.
- At least 3 years of experience in system-level testing and automation.
- At least 2 years of experience delivering and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency across software engineering and development, computer science programming, applied algorithm engineering, API development and integration, source control, operating systems, and web development.
- Experience with prototyping, information-vulnerability mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Preferred qualifications include the same software development education and experience paths and cloud-platform experience.
