Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for HVAC IoT products.
- Develop software for platforms ranging from battery-operated microcontrollers to multicore embedded Linux systems.
- Work on low-level hardware interactions, device applications, network protocols, control algorithms, and graphical user interfaces.
- Develop test fixtures used to validate the functionality of manufactured devices.
- Conduct performance analysis and optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with QA, Product Management, Manufacturing, Hardware teams, other developers, and third-party technology companies.
- Integrate third-party services such as Apple HomeKit, Amazon Voice Services, Alexa, and on-device Siri.
- Stay current with industry trends to drive innovation in embedded technology.
Requirements
- Knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in C++ development.
- Knowledge of embedded Linux systems.
- Extensive experience in embedded software application development.
- Experience building Wi-Fi IoT products is an asset.
- Object-oriented design and coding skills, including data structures and design patterns.
- Experience with multithreaded design and coding practices.
- Knowledge of ARM architecture-based processors and development tools.
- Experience with GUI development.
- Ability to program for reliability and testability.
- Knowledge of home automation, control systems, or the Internet of Things.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
