Staff, Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across the firmware lifecycle from architecture and platform bring-up through validation, production, and continued improvement.
- Develop and debug low-level firmware for microcontrollers and SoCs.
- Implement boot, power, and reset sequences and perform board bring-up.
- Use lab tools to diagnose issues across the hardware–software boundary.
- Collaborate with hardware, board, and system software teams to solve complex system-level problems.
- Contribute to design reviews, testing strategies, engineering standards, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience as an embedded engineer building reliable software for real-world systems.
- Strong foundation in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in low-level C/C++ development and familiarity with modern embedded platforms, RTOS, or Embedded Linux.
- Ability to work across architecture, implementation, debugging, validation, and system-level problem solving.
- Ability to make tradeoffs involving reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, ownership, and willingness to investigate complex technical issues hands-on.
