Responsibilities
- Ensure reliability, scalability, performance, and security of AI infrastructure supporting HPC and AI workloads.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvement.
- Optimize compute, storage, networking, GPUs, InfiniBand, and other specialized infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain automation for deployment, monitoring, predictive analysis, and AI infrastructure management.
- Provide technical guidance on cloud and AI infrastructure technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Advocate for customers and service excellence for live AI workloads.
- Research emerging AI infrastructure technologies and recommend beneficial adoption.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 2+ years of relevant technical experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 8+ years in service operations, monitoring, and infrastructure reliability improvement.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting infrastructure services for AI or cloud platforms.
- 1+ years of experience with incident management and reliability engineering in cloud or AI environments.
- Ability to pass Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale cloud or distributed systems, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, distributed systems, cloud platforms, supercomputers, AI platforms, GPUs, InfiniBand, or related high-performance technologies.
- Preferred: doctorate or additional relevant technical experience, plus publications or certifications related to cloud or AI infrastructure.
