Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend systems using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
- Build and maintain microservices-based architectures.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code focused on performance and scalability.
- Implement unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Analyze and resolve performance issues including memory leaks and garbage-collection behavior.
- Apply modern Java features, concurrency practices, and multithreading concepts.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on GCP cloud infrastructure and Terraform.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture design.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Java development.
- Strong knowledge of core Java, including collections, access modifiers, and exception handling.
- Understanding of the Java memory model, memory structure, and garbage collection.
- Experience identifying and resolving memory leaks.
- Solid knowledge of concurrency, including synchronized, volatile, and atomic types.
- Experience with Future, CompletableFuture, and multithreading concepts.
- Familiarity with modern Java features such as records, sealed classes, default methods, and virtual threads.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Data.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices.
- Practical experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito.
- Understanding of microservice architecture principles.
- Exposure to GCP.
- Nice-to-have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, ActiveMQ, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Terraform, distributed systems, observability tools, and high-load systems.
- Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban is desirable.
