Base Salary
$196k - $293k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test product features involving complex distributed systems.
- Deliver maintainable code for cloud-native storage components.
- Drive feature development independently from design through completion.
- Collaborate with cloud hyperscalers, partner teams, SREs, Product Management, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Participate in design reviews, architectural discussions, technical investigations, and solution planning.
- Help ensure scalability, reliability, and performance goals for enterprise cloud storage systems.
- Mentor junior engineers in engineering best practices and technical execution.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering or software development experience.
- Proficiency in C++ or C, with secondary experience in Go or Python.
- Strong software design, development, and system-level architecture experience.
- Hands-on experience building or deploying distributed storage systems at scale.
- Practical experience with public cloud providers such as GCP, Azure, OCI, or AWS.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, distributed systems, and modern programming practices.
- Experience with networking and storage, especially cloud-based or distributed storage systems, is preferred.
- Exposure to Software Defined Storage or large-scale cloud-native data platforms is preferred.
- Understanding of high-availability systems, filesystems, or networking protocols is preferred.
- Team-lead experience and the ability to lead features or small teams independently are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
