Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end development of backend capabilities for migrating the video player into a scalable SDK.
Design and implement APIs, services, and platform components for SDK integration, configuration, lifecycle management, and adoption.
Develop scalable and reliable solutions supporting video player functionality across client platforms and device ecosystems.
Collaborate with player engineering, product management, and platform teams on requirements, architecture, and migration strategies.
Build monitoring, observability, and operational frameworks for SDK-enabled player services.
Optimize services and workflows for performance, scalability, cost, latency, and reliability.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation, technical discussions, profiling, monitoring, and platform evolution.

4+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend services and production-grade systems.
Expert proficiency in Python or C++ with strong software engineering fundamentals.
Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating scalable backend services and APIs in production.
Experience with large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
Proficiency with backend technologies including databases, caching, messaging systems, and observability frameworks.
Experience building platforms or SDK-enabling services for multiple clients, platforms, or product integrations.
Understanding of video playback technologies, streaming protocols, player architecture, and client-server interactions, or willingness to develop this expertise.
Understanding of performance, scalability, reliability, and operational considerations for high-traffic services.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, or a BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; an MS or PhD is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, ownership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Full-time onsite role in Bangalore.
