Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and execute automated test cases and suites, review and diagnose bugs, and verify system quality before production releases.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test suites through continuous integration.
- Maintain stability of test infrastructure in non-production environments.
- Troubleshoot and triage issues with multiple teams to identify root causes and drive resolution.
- Partner with software developers to create test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
- Collaborate across functional areas with internal engineering teams and contribute to unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices.
- Estimate testing tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Influence and improve testing practices across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience building automation frameworks for mobile or web applications, particularly social media or related applications.
- Strong proficiency in testing methodology, SDLC methodology, test documentation procedures, and QA best practices.
- Ability to independently create test plans from requirements and perform ad hoc and exploratory testing based on potential areas of impact.
- Comfort with iOS and Android testing environments and fast-paced development environments.
- Experience testing Agile/Scrum SDLCs and using Jira and Confluence to manage the development lifecycle.
- Strong communication, creative problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
- At least 3 years of experience testing applications across iOS, Android, web, and mobile web platforms is preferred.
- API testing experience is preferred.
- Experience supporting environments with weekly production releases is preferred.
