Base Salary
$150k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the agent layer end-to-end, including context engineering, self-learning systems, evaluations, harnesses, and meta-harnesses.
- Build knowledge bases that improve future system integrations through accumulated knowledge.
- Design and ship self-healing workflows that detect, diagnose, and autonomously recover from production failures.
- Build and maintain tooling for creating, evaluating, and evolving agents rapidly.
- Establish engineering patterns for building and measuring agentic systems across the organization.
- Help hire and grow the team responsible for agentic systems while partnering directly with the CTO and founders.
Requirements
- 2 to 9 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong computer science or quantitative foundation.
- Hands-on experience building agentic software within the last year.
- Experience building context or self-learning systems that improve agent performance from accumulated knowledge.
- Experience with autonomous failure detection, diagnosis, or self-healing production workflows.
- Deep familiarity with agent tracing, evaluations, and eval-driven iteration.
- Experience building reusable agent harnesses or meta-harnesses.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and experience with PostgreSQL and LLMs in production.
- Early-stage startup experience as a founder or engineer at a well-backed seed or Series A company.
- Focus on shipping working systems and implementation engineering rather than research.
