Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features across Avigilon Access Control software and web applications from concept through production.
- Build and maintain third-party integrations and support APIs and SDKs for the broader ecosystem.
- Create developer documentation for integrations and software interfaces.
- Develop and operate software for deploying, managing, and monitoring production systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Write unit tests and automated UI tests and execute test plans for reliability, performance, and quality.
- Share responsibility for system reliability, observability, and long-term maintainability.
- Collaborate with leadership and peers to prioritize and deliver work in an iterative environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of software development experience.
- At least 2 years of backend development experience using Node.js API frameworks or Python.
- At least 2 years of JavaScript development experience; React is preferred.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, concurrency and threading concepts, resource management, and modern software development practices.
- Experience with SQL data stores and relational data modeling.
- Knowledge of Linux fundamentals, Bash or command-line tools, Docker, and monitoring tools such as Datadog or CloudWatch.
- Experience with identity and access integrations such as Okta, Azure AD/Microsoft Graph, SAML, OAuth, or directory synchronization is emphasized.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, EC2/VPCs, SQL/RDS, and DynamoDB is emphasized.
- Strong curiosity, ownership, technical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills.
