Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software components for S3 Metadata infrastructure.
  • Build distributed systems for large-scale metadata storage and query processing using technologies such as Apache Iceberg.
  • Participate in code reviews and improve code quality and engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to balance feature development with operational needs.
  • Own operational support, investigate root causes, and implement permanent solutions that improve reliability and customer experience.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
